It’s hard to keep things on hand for breakfast every day, and sometimes your best intentions are thwarted – or you have to plan new plans quickly – by everything that happened the night before. However no worries! With Grubhub’s handy delivery system, you can shift gears quickly, no matter what life throws at you, whether breakfast that day means throwing something away while you start work from home, or whether you want / require a more relaxed meal in bed than planned, Solo or with a companion.
We have already covered a variety of great delivery options if you are in the mood for something eggy, or bagel, but here’s a peek at the other side, no less delicious, of the breakfast coin, the sweet breakfast feast, a category dominated by donuts and pancakes and fruit and fruit, please pass the maple syrup. And remember: group brunch meetings are always more fun when you open a box of a dozen donuts, especially if all you have to do is order delivery through Grubhub to bring them to the party.
The Donut Project in Greenwich Village
Hidden on Morton Street, Leslie Polizotto’s small and charming store has been producing some of New York’s best donuts for about seven years, thanks in no small part to the incredible creativity of confectioners Jessica Bon Vanessa Lina. Everything is great here, from the juicy Maple Cruller to the vegan Strawberry Glazed (there are plenty of vegan and gluten-free options on the menu) to slightly crazier concoctions like the Everything Donut and Bacon Maple Bars. They all look so beautiful too! Perfect for a pajama party.

Flipper in SoHo
When the popular Japanese chain Flipper’s first opened here in the fall of 2019 on West Broadway, people waited in line for hours to eat a plate of souffle pancakes. The craze has faded a bit since then – the plague has certainly played a part in this – but it’s still a solid plan to skip the wait at the table and get Flipper’s first-rate pancakes delivered to your home via Grubhub. The fruity French toast is excellent here as well.

Plant donuts in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens
Nearly thirty years after he first began delivering his freshly fried pieces by bike to restaurants across the Lower Side, Mark Israel’s donut plant has become something like an institution in New York, with stores scattered in three quarters and a reputation worthy of bringing innovative flavors. Once-a-day pastry techniques for a work day. The airy yeast donuts are great here, and the dense cake donuts, as well as the vegan “ourdougnuts”, you guessed it, are great. Basically, it’s a winner all around, so order a dozen for delivery via Grubhub and you’re guaranteed a great start to the day.
Donut Plant has locations on the Lower East Side and downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Long Island City – order now
Comfortland in Astoria
The plague has forced Donnie D’Alsio and his sister Montana d’Alsio Barbiere (known as @donutdiva) to close their beloved Queens Comfort brunch venue in the fall of 2020, but the family’s few unexpected (and certainly insanely delicious) creations take place there. Nearby Comfortland, where among other pleasures you can eat all the donuts of your dreams. The list of sweet breakfast treats is constantly changing, but sure hits include the Rainbow Cookie Crumb Cake, Cinnamon French Toast Crunch Balls and Dripping Cannoli Donuts. Stream your favorite combination of R&B classics while eating at home for the full Comfortland effect.

Luna’s Cafe in Bushwick
Yashri Rodriguez named this cute, vegan-friendly cafe after her three-year-old daughter, who can often be found reading books or “helping” her mother run things. The brunch menu throughout the day is packed with simple, healthy delights like vegan power waffle, made from oats, chia seeds, flax seeds and soy milk, but not tasting nearly as harsh as it sounds, especially with all those berries (and cashews! And powder! Sugar!) Over, as well as a drip of maple syrup. Other winners on the sweet side of things include Nutella pancakes and stuffed French toast, and delivery via Grubhub means you barely have to get out of bed to enjoy it all.

Pierozak at Greenpoint
One of the best pirouettes in New York City may not seem like the most obvious place to have a great sweet breakfast, but Pierozak on Manhattan Avenue, just off the Greenpoint-Williamsburg border, not only makes nasty dumplings stuffed with meat (not to mention an excellent bowl Of borscht), they also serve several different types of sweet pirouettes, and they are all great. Mix the options of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and sweet cheese, drizzle with butter and serve with sweet cream for dipping, for a refreshing and refreshing look of a classic fruity breakfast.

Donut Pub in Chelsea and Greenwich Village
The background story for this old donut counter on 14th Street is pretty wild: In a fit of despair, Buzzie Gedlad opened the place in 1964 after being fired from a low-level Wall Street job, realized he really loved the business, and continued to make pastries even after returning to the financial world and in 2000 sold the trading company he founded for nearly $ 1 billion. Anyway, Donut Pub sells a huge selection of goodies that look good both in the original location and in the newer place near Astor Place, including all the expected classics, some “croissant donuts”, lots of vegan varieties, as well as pancakes, carols, cinnamon rolls, and other treats Breakfast.
Donut Pub is located at 203 West 14th Street and 740 Broadway – order now
